Business Formation, Operation & Termination
Several years ago, Mr. Linde left the security of a large law firm to start his own firm. He had been in the area only a short time after moving here from San Francisco. His first office consisted of one hundred square feet rented from another attorney. He had one laptop computer, a HP 1200 printer, one office chair and no employees. Just a few years later, the firm occupies and owns a 2200 square foot state-of-the-art office building in South Fort Myers, has several qualified employees and has had exponential growth every year.
Mr. Linde knows that feeling of uncertainty when starting a business, and he also know the feeling of success. Through this process Mr. Linde has learned to spend his time practicing law instead of trying to do everything himself.
Trying to do everything yourself is a common problem that small business owners face. This is especially true with regard to legal documents. One sure way to develop problems is to enter into a contract without legal assistance or enter an oral contract because “that is the way I’ve always done it.” A qualified attorney is more than worth the fees charged.
Services provided include planning, structuring and forming corporations, partnerships, LLCs, joint ventures and other entities; negotiating, reviewing and drafting contracts; tax planning; liquidations, mergers and asset or stock sales and succession planning for business owners.
